Welcome to Whimsy Maker blog, a cozy corner of the internet where I share about sourdough, thrifting, sewing projects, and the art of slow, mindful living. I am so excited (and a little bit nervous…) to be starting this blog. Sharing ideas and blogging has been a dream of mine since creating my first Myspace account (now I am aging myself!). In fact, my goal behind the Whimsy Maker page is just a safe, cozy corner on this big world wide web to share my passion for creating, and slow living. I think it is so important to connect to the world with our hands and hearts.
To start, my name is Melissa. Ever since I was a little girl I have always been a lover of creating. My childhood bedroom is a testimate to my past projects. My old art supplies still have a home in my childhood bedroom closet along with the many collages, beaded necklaces, stain glass window pieces and much more hanging around the room. And of course, I can’t forget the glitter glue stain that holds it’s place under the vanity dresser. Thanks to my dad, who keeps my childhood memories preserved well after I moved out ♥️.
Whimsy Maker blog is all about being a cozy corner of the internet where anyone can come to browse, learn and be inspired to harness their own creative spirit. Specifically, my current creative niches will focus on easier sourdough baking, sewing, thrifting and crafting for the whole family.
